I hope you new website will mix that. I love you site and I intend to use your chinese studies as a guide esp for a sporean who moved to USA!

Hope to see you new website soon!

Thanks heaps for sharing your ideas on how to make use of 'The Story About Ping'! I have just started homeschooling my daughter and hasn't anything as concrete or as organised as this but it gives me a lot of ideas and start off points, especially since I want to make use of the FIAR!

And thanks for the link on the Animal Resort! I didn't realise there is such a place!

Many thanks for taking time to share it! Truly appreciate it!

I'll second that. We have so much to learn from Charlotte Mason. Her teachings seem to be timeless.

Hi Janice,

Thanks for you valuable 2 cents from a profession point of view. What you mentioned are part of the reasons why I think is the benefit of public schooling. OTOH, there are also other important consideration and benefits of homeschooling.

Sigh... this is why I am in such a dilemma.

cheers,
Delci

You might want to consider putting him in school.Afterall, we cant get away from exams and tests in our society...he still needs to sit for the PSLE. You may find it daunting to prepare him for the exams alone ... and there is so many componenets to a subject which requires group work for facilitate learning better - eg. Composition writing, lab work, etc.
Also, in school the teachers attend tarining regularly so they are aware of the latest syllabus, trend in the education sec ... which helps prepare the pupils, not only for the exam but to help build the pupils as an all rounder.
Of course, you are an excellent teacher yourself.... but the school migt still be necessary especially for the upper primary.
Just my 2 cents
Just give me a tinkle if you need more info.
